NOT TO BE MISSED....
Renowned Polish soprano
performs in Neenah, WI with the
Badger State Women's Choir
Kevin Meidl is the conductor and artistic director of the women’s choir. He states, “Dominika Zamara is one of the world’s foremost sopranos with a prolific career spanning four continents. Her elegant vocal grace and raw musicianship make her one of the most sought-after singers of our time. We are honored and excited to have Ms. Zamara in Wisconsin to perform with the Badger State Women’s Choir!”
The concert will feature works of Johannes Brahms, Gabriel Fauré, Antonio Vivaldi, Vincenzo Bellini and Frédéric Chopin. Some of the most lyrically beautiful works of the choral repertoire will be performed along with much lighter folk music from Germany and Poland. Accompanied by pianist Sarah E. Wheeler, Dominika Zamara will sing a solo set of music including three Polish songs by the country’s famed composer…Chopin.
The thirty-voice Badger State Women’s Choir will be joined on stage by organist Blake Doss and violinist Lori Murphy. Sponsored in part by the Polish Heritage Society, there will also be unique gifts and other items available representing Wisconsin’s strong Polish roots.
