Annual events include:

• the Spring Festival, held on Palm Sunday, with food; music; demonstration of egg-decorating; sales of Polish arts/crafts, books, baked goods, Easter items, toys, etc.
• the Wigilia, a special Christmas Eve (although we hold it in mid-December) meatless dinner and program that includes many uniquely Polish traditions
• the Picnic, featuring a cookout and potluck dishes, games, raffle for Polish prizes, music, and a great chance to socialize

Educational/cultural activities:

• Sponsorship of various lectures and concerts, including receptions at these events
• Cultural displays in libraries, schools, community venues, as well as provision of Polish ornaments for Christmas trees at the Governor’s Mansion and the Madison Civic Center
• Book Club, meeting about four times per year
• Field trips to museums and cultural centers outside of Madison
• Skill workshops have included making wianki (crown of flowers), egg-decorating (pisanki), making Christmas ornaments, embroidery of Polish folk patterns, Polish language class, cooking, making wycinanki (Polish cutouts)
• Provided guest speakers and displays at the invitation of other groups (e.g., Kiwanis, Oregon Senior Center, Folk Art Fairs sponsored by the Retired Senior Volunteer Program at various elementary schools)

Humanitarian and Community Services:

• Donations to Polish charities
• Donations of Christmas packages to Polish troops supporting US efforts in Iraq
• Volunteers at Wisconsin Public Television fund-raisers, including pledge drives and Auction

• Display and sell Polish arts/crafts at the International Festival (Madison Civic Center), UW Hospital Arts & Crafts Sale, Polish Fest at Wisconsin Dells
• Volunteers at the Boston Store Community Days
